Back in January 2025, I gave a preview of a new upcoming book chapter on health and fitness.
I am happy to announce that my chapter and the two volumes were finally published online in November 2025!
Woohoo!
Throughout the entire process, I felt unsure if I had the goods and could complete the damn thing.
I am proud of the finished product. I shared my passion, checked off a major milestone (a big deal for me), and squeezed in my Power BI work with health and fitness targets.
Here is the final abstract:
Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is a comprehensive framework that can promote meaningful health and fitness behavior change. This chapter applies behavioral concepts and principles to health and fitness, including assessment, measurement, intervention selection, practitioner competency and training, and ethics. While ABA can be applied to a range of prohealth behaviors, this chapter focuses on physical activity, exercise routines, nutrition, and reducing sedentary behavior. Real-world examples and case studies will be used to demonstrate how ABA can help clients acquire and maintain their health goals. By leveraging behavioral science, practitioners can facilitate lasting healthy lifestyles with their clients.
Check out the chapter, Chapter 3 in the 2-part volume titled, Applied Behavior Analysis for Business and Technology Applications:

Enjoy the text!
….also
I took a bit of a detour developing courses for the BehaviorFit Academy to write this chapter, and I will get back to those soon!
